RIACE BRONZE B – XXY Portraits (Classicism Collection)

Riace Bronze A & B are part of the XXY Portraits – Classicism Collection, a series that reinterprets iconic figures from classical history through a reduced and symbolic visual language. The works are acrylic paintings on wooden panels, each measuring 50 × 50 cm.

The legendary warriors are flattened into essential forms, where identity is communicated through signs and structure rather than detail. Narrative and realism are deliberately removed, allowing the portraits to function as visual icons within the XXY system of categorization and recognition.
